About this role
Role overview Administer the cloud, SaaS, identity, and device systems that employees rely on, with security controls and audit logging as central priorities. This generalist role combines access management, automation, incident response, and hands-on employee IT support, with responsibility for understanding how systems are configured and who can access them.
Responsibilities - Manage SaaS and cloud settings, including SSO/SAML, SCIM, MFA, API keys, roles, and permissions. - Configure and maintain audit logs, centralize them where practical, and manage retention to meet compliance needs. - Review access regularly, remove stale accounts and excessive privileges, and maintain an inventory of administrator access. - Handle employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding, groups, licenses, device enrollment, MDM policies, and endpoint security. - Automate provisioning, access reviews, log collection, and reporting with scripts and vendor APIs; build lightweight system integrations. - Triage security alerts, contain suspected incidents, gather evidence, support post-incident improvements, and provide tier 1–2 IT support.
Requirements - Hands-on administration experience across SaaS and cloud platforms, including familiarity with identity controls and audit logs. - Scripting ability in at least one of Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and comfort using REST APIs. - Experience responding to security incidents such as phishing, account compromise, or lost devices, with clear documentation. - Strong employee support skills, including communicating with non-technical colleagues and resolving requests promptly. - Familiarity with HIPAA or a comparable compliance framework and its implications for access controls and logging.
Nice to have - AWS or Google Workspace administration certification; SIEM or log aggregation experience; or MDM and endpoint hardening experience. - Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code experience, or previous work in healthcare or another regulated environment. - Experience managing API keys, access, and spending controls for AI platforms.
Benefits and work setup - The listed base salary range is $60,000–$75,000, with eligibility for an equity incentive and benefits plans.
