DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Build and operate the infrastructure that helps engineering teams deliver dependable software. The work spans reproducible environments, deployment and recovery workflows, observability, and operational practices that make systems easier to understand and maintain.

Responsibilities

- Maintain repeatable development, testing, and deployment environments. - Improve CI/CD pipelines, release checks, and rollback procedures. - Add observability for service reliability, performance, and infrastructure costs. - Manage infrastructure changes through code review and clearly documented access boundaries. - Investigate incidents and turn findings into lasting operational improvements. - Work with engineers on isolated execution, secrets handling, and dependency upkeep.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience operating cloud infrastructure and Linux systems. - Experience with containers, networking, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code. - Practical scripting ability and a methodical approach to debugging distributed systems. - Understanding of least-privilege access, secret management, backups, and recovery. - Ability to balance reliability, delivery speed, and operational complexity. - Clear runbook writing and communication during remote incident response.

Nice to have

- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar provisioning and orchestration tools. - Familiarity with sandboxed execution or multi-tenant systems. - Experience defining service objectives and improving cost visibility.
