About this role

Role overview

Lead product strategy and delivery for advanced nuclear reactor products from early opportunity assessment through validated deployment. This highly technical product role connects customer and business needs with engineering, licensing, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, commercial, and other functions. You will define product direction, guide complex tradeoffs, manage risk and dependencies, and maintain accountability for outcomes across the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate new reactor-related products, capabilities, applications, and deployment opportunities. - Define product vision, value propositions, business cases, deployment strategies, roadmaps, requirements, success measures, and acceptance criteria. - Translate customer, partner, commercial, and operational needs into actionable product and technical priorities. - Guide development from concept and feasibility through design, validation, deployment, and ongoing improvement. - Lead cross-functional decisions involving technical performance, safety, cost, schedule, licensing, manufacturability, operability, risk, and customer value. - Coordinate engineering, licensing, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, finance, and commercial teams while tracking ownership of critical risks and decisions.

Requirements

- At least five years of experience in product management, engineering, systems engineering, technical program management, or a related role developing complex technical products. - Specific experience with nuclear reactor technology, such as design, safety, licensing, construction, or operations. - An engineering degree or equivalent experience working directly with engineered systems and technical development teams. - Experience translating customer, business, or operational needs into product requirements and development priorities. - Ability to guide technical work from early concepts toward validated, deployable solutions and make informed tradeoffs. - Strong written and verbal communication, independent judgment, cross-functional coordination, and comfort operating in ambiguity.

Nice to have

- Experience developing hardware, energy systems, industrial equipment, or other complex physical products. - Background as a practicing engineer or technical lead. - Product-development experience in regulated fields such as nuclear energy, aerospace, medical devices, or advanced manufacturing. - Familiarity with customer engagements, design reviews, partner discussions, procurement, or deployment planning.

Benefits and work setup

- The position may involve access to information controlled under U.S. export-control laws; eligibility may be limited to qualifying U.S. persons. - Employment may be contingent on drug screening, and additional testing may apply in accordance with policy and law.
