Role overview
Administer cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, supporting reliable operations, security, and regulatory compliance. The role covers maintenance, continuity planning, troubleshooting, and enterprise AI services, with regular coordination across IT operations, development, and research teams.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, patch, back up, and maintain cloud services and applications across Azure and AWS. - Coordinate business continuity, disaster recovery, and high availability practices with IT and development teams. - Diagnose hardware, network, and software issues in cloud and hybrid environments; document operating procedures and improve processes. - Administer enterprise AI services, including access controls, networking, quotas, logging, and lifecycle management. - Apply controls for data protection, monitoring, auditability, cost management, and responsible AI use. - Support data standards and compliance requirements, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least three years of cloud administration experience with Azure and/or AWS. - At least two years working with network configurations, VPNs, firewalls, and hybrid cloud connectivity. - Knowledge of core Azure and AWS services, cloud storage, Kubernetes, and resource management. - Ability to troubleshoot cloud and hybrid infrastructure and handle multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring tools; identity services; or SIEM platforms. - Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or cloud command-line tools; familiarity with device management, Jira, or enterprise AI services. - Knowledge of AI governance, secure data and prompt handling, access controls, usage monitoring, and cost controls.

This is a remote-first, full-time role with an expected base salary of $90,000–$110,000, subject to factors such as experience and location.
