Technical Program Manager - Cyber Defense, Metrics and Business Intelligence
Job details
About this role
Role overview Bring structure, measurable outcomes, and clear reporting to a broad portfolio of cyber defense work. This role combines technical program delivery with business intelligence: it turns security activity, risks, and remediation into reliable data and executive-ready views that help teams make decisions and improve readiness.
Responsibilities - Lead cross-functional security programs spanning incident response, security testing, detection, and compliance-related work; track owners, milestones, dependencies, blockers, and remediation. - Define metrics for delivery, security coverage, control health, risk reduction, exceptions, and evidence quality. - Build dashboards and reporting that show progress, unresolved issues, coverage, and remaining risk in terms that technical teams and leaders can use. - Model and maintain program data across assets, applications, findings, controls, owners, tickets, evidence, and remediation status. - Set up lightweight operating routines for reviews, prioritization, escalation, decision tracking, and leadership updates. - Coordinate across security, IT, engineering, compliance, and operations, improving data quality and audit traceability while reducing manual status gathering.
Requirements - At least six years of experience in technical or security program management, business intelligence engineering, data, or a closely related area. - Ability to bring clear ownership and delivery plans to ambiguous, fast-moving security initiatives. - Experience defining metrics, modeling data, and building reporting that supports decisions and communicates risk. - Skill coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, surfacing blockers early, and driving actions to completion. - Strong written communication and judgment when translating technical work for leadership.
Nice to have - Experience in cloud, infrastructure, AI, regulated, or customer-trust-sensitive settings. - Familiarity with security dashboards, control reporting, risk registers, audit evidence, data pipelines, workflow automation, or security and asset data.
Benefits and work setup - The listing describes flexible work and notes potential bonus and equity, as well as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, and retirement benefits. Compensation is listed as a US base salary range of $190,000–$225,000.
