Airtable/Zapier Automation Consultant (Remote) - Education Startup

Role overview Part-time consulting role supporting an education-focused organization that runs STEM programming for children ages 3–12. The consultant owns the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal program-management systems so educators can focus on delivery. This is a remote, fractional engagement with immediate start and the potential to expand.

Responsibilities - Design and build automation workflows in Airtable and Zapier to support attendance tracking, staffing charts, and performance-based KPIs. - Audit and troubleshoot existing automations to minimize operational downtime. - Partner with multiple departments to surface manual bottlenecks and translate them into scalable automated solutions. - Document all active workflows, data structures, and automation logic in a clear, maintainable format. - Train and support internal team members in adopting and using the automated systems. - Track emerging automation features and integrations, recommending upgrades where they add value.

Requirements - 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing Airtable and Zapier ecosystems. - Strong grasp of relational database design, complex automation logic, and business process optimization. - Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve intricate workflow or integration errors. - Clear communication and collaboration skills for translating operational needs into technical builds. - Self-directed project management with high attention to detail in a remote setting.

Nice to have - Prior experience working with education, camp, or other program-driven operations. - Exposure to performance-tracking or KPI systems tied to frontline staff.
