About this role
Role overview Build core technology for a venture-backed cloud platform used by tens of thousands of developers worldwide to ship full-stack, scalable applications. As a backend engineer, you will shape platform stability, performance, and product direction while working remotely with hours aligned to UTC ± 2.
Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs - Optimize database performance and data structures across SQL and NoSQL stores - Develop and maintain a microservices architecture - Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of production systems - Collaborate with front-end developers and DevOps teams on end-to-end delivery - Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Requirements - 3+ years of backend development experience - Proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js - Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases - Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have - Experience with distributed systems and message queues - Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling - Open-source contributions
