Remote job
Product Designer (Enterprise UX)
Job details
About this role
Role overview A remote product designer role focused on complex, data-dense enterprise software. The position owns design end to end, from research and flows through prototypes to shipped pixels, with the goal of making genuinely intricate products feel calm, obvious, and even pleasant to use.
Responsibilities - Lead design for complex, data-heavy enterprise products from initial sketches through to shipped screens. - Design the full spectrum of states, including empty, loading, error, and permission-denied, since they are the common case in enterprise software. - Build and maintain a real design system in close partnership with engineering so consistency is a default. - Run lightweight research and usability sessions, and let findings change the design direction. - Bring clarity to genuine complexity by simplifying hard problems rather than dressing up easy ones.
Requirements - 4+ years designing complex software, with B2B or enterprise experience viewed favorably. - A portfolio that shows judgment: clarity brought to messy, real problems rather than purely polished mockups. - Fluency in Figma and a working understanding of what is cheap versus expensive to build. - Comfort being the person who calls out overcomplication and then fixes it.
Nice to have - Ability to prototype in code, or at minimum read code closely enough to collaborate well with engineers. - Experience owning or contributing to a design system used by multiple product teams. - A point of view on accessibility that goes beyond minimum contrast checks.
Benefits and work setup - A seat at the table from discovery onward rather than a service-desk role taking pixel requests. - Small, senior team with high trust and low process, fully remote with real overlap hours. - Hardware budget, learning stipend, and equity tied to the impact of design decisions.
