Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build the interfaces clients use every day, working shoulder-to-shoulder with design and backend engineers who care about quality. The position sits on a frontend team that treats accessibility, performance, and the unglamorous states (empty, loading, error) as core craft.
Responsibilities - Build polished, responsive, accessible interfaces in React and Next.js with TypeScript. - Translate designs into pixel-accurate, performant UI, and flag when something won't work in practice. - Own the full set of UI states, including loading, empty, error, and permission-denied. - Treat performance and accessibility as first-class concerns, not final-checklist items. - Collaborate tightly with design and backend to make boundaries between teams disappear.
Requirements - 3+ years building production web interfaces with React; Next.js experience is a strong plus. - Strong TypeScript and CSS skills with a sharp eye for visual detail. - Working understanding of web accessibility and performance, including how to actually improve them. - Clear communication and a willingness to ask rather than guess at ambiguous designs.
Nice to have - Experience with design systems or shared component libraries. - Comfort with animation and interaction detail (e.g. Framer Motion) done tastefully. - A portfolio piece or side project where the craft is evident.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote across Europe and the Americas, async-friendly with real overlap hours. - Hardware budget, yearly learning stipend, and meaningful equity.
