Role overview
This director-level position owns the enterprise customer data agenda, turning raw behavioral and transactional signals into insights that shape product, marketing, and growth decisions. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and executive strategy, leading a cross-functional team responsible for data quality, governance, and democratization across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for customer data, including standards for quality, security, and regulatory privacy compliance. - Direct consumer research initiatives that surface behavioral trends and purchasing patterns to inform long-term business planning. - Partner with Marketing, Product, and Sales leadership to embed data-driven insight into launches, campaigns, and acquisition programs. - Champion data democratization by overseeing data catalogs, self-service dashboards, and internal tooling for non-technical users. - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists, raising both technical execution and career growth.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, market research, or data management. - At least 3 years leading and managing teams directly. - Hands-on expertise with modern data platforms and advanced SQL. - Practical experience with enterprise BI and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. - Demonstrated track record of navigating complex privacy regulations (for example, GDPR and CCPA). - Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. - Professional written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into executive-ready narrative.
