Role overview An accounting-focused client services position is available for a detail-oriented professional who will deliver bookkeeping, financial reporting, and analytical support across a portfolio of client engagements. The role combines hands-on accounting work with direct client interaction, supporting month-end and quarter-end close cycles and producing financial insights for client decision-making. It suits an organized accounting professional comfortable balancing multiple deadlines in a client-service environment.
Responsibilities - Perform day-to-day accounting functions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, time billing, payroll, general ledger activity, and tax payments for assigned clients - Process client payroll and verify related records for accuracy and timeliness - Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements along with weekly forecasts summarizing each client's current and projected financial position - Support period-end close activities, including reconciliations of general ledger accounts and preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Record and reconcile investment transactions and assist with quarterly management reporting - Liaise with vendors and external auditors on billing, payroll, audits, and other financial matters - Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field - Two or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or another client-service setting - Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and close processes - Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail - Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, vendors, and team members - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, plus experience with accounting software and general ledger systems
Nice to have - QuickBooks experience - Familiarity with investment transaction recording and management reporting - Comfort working with high-net-worth or family-office-style client portfolios
Benefits and work setup - Expected annualized base pay range of approximately $80,000-$90,000, with potential variation based on experience and skill set - Eligibility for an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan
