Product Manager - Anti Fraud

Role overview Own the product roadmap for systems that detect and address fraud and abuse across a cloud computing service, from account creation and payment through ongoing resource use. The work combines risk controls, operational tools, and customer verification, balancing effective prevention with a smooth experience for legitimate customers.

Responsibilities - Define and prioritize controls for signup checks, payment fraud, account takeover, and misuse of computing resources. - Build tools for analysts to configure and evaluate detection rules and risk scores, with appropriate safeguards and audit records. - Improve case review workflows, including evidence, queues, and actions such as restricting access or requesting additional verification. - Set up signals, alerts, and thresholds to identify incidents early; coordinate triage and mitigation with operational and technical teams. - Translate risk problems into product specifications, partner with data specialists on rules and models, and monitor experiments and launches. - Track fraud losses, chargebacks, false positives, review capacity, and detection speed; incorporate incident findings into product improvements.

Requirements - Product management experience in fraud, risk, trust and safety, or payments. - Strong analytical skills, including comfort with SQL or equivalent and precision/recall trade-offs. - Ability to make decisions amid uncertainty and balance security, business, and customer experience needs. - Experience working with engineering and data science teams and discussing signals, features, or model behavior. - Familiarity with cloud, SaaS, marketplace, fintech, or infrastructure products. - Understanding of payment fraud, chargebacks, KYC/AML, or device and network risk signals.

Nice to have - Experience with the operational lifecycle of machine learning detection systems, including monitoring and drift. - Knowledge of abuse patterns affecting computing platforms, such as resource mining, credential attacks, or free-tier exploitation.
