Role overview

Support data-informed decisions across app, web, and video products by turning raw digital activity into useful, dependable analytics. This role owns measurement plans and tracking quality, builds reporting tools, and investigates how audiences use digital content in collaboration with product, editorial, and technical teams.

Responsibilities - Write and optimize SQL queries across app, web, and video data, including raw event logs and nested records. - Create measurement plans and implement and validate analytics tags through releases. - Maintain scheduled queries, summaries, and automated reporting pipelines. - Build dashboards and self-service analytics resources with product and data teams. - Analyze audience behavior and retention, and help teams identify opportunities to improve digital products. - Investigate data discrepancies, tracking errors, and schema issues; document tagging specifications and analytics standards.

Requirements - At least two years of hands-on SQL experience, including complex queries in relational databases or data warehouses. - Experience querying large raw digital event datasets and working with nested arrays or complex record structures. - At least two years of app and web analytics experience, using tools such as Firebase, GA4, or similar platforms. - At least two years creating measurement plans and testing tracking implementations with Google Tag Manager or comparable tools. - Experience building dashboards with Looker or similar software and using advanced spreadsheets. - Ability to translate stakeholder questions into measurement plans and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have - Experience in news, public broadcasting, or digital content. - Familiarity with statistical analysis in R or Python. - Experience with data governance or maintaining durable analytics standards.

Benefits and work setup

This is a full-time, exempt, union-represented position. Work may be remote from an approved U.S. location, on-site where space is available, or hybrid; occasional travel may be required. The stated U.S. salary range is $91,276.23–$98,294.51, plus benefits. Eligible employees can enroll in health, dental, vision, disability, life, paid-time-off, and retirement savings plans.
