Role overview
Develop and modernize workforce analytics dashboards for a People Analytics team on a six-month contract. The work focuses on making existing Tableau products clearer, more useful, and easier to explore, while expanding access to sensitive employee data through reliable row-level security. You’ll translate stakeholder questions into polished analytical tools and help leave behind maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Redesign and enhance Tableau dashboards with clear visualizations, intuitive navigation, and useful content. - Work with analytics colleagues and stakeholders to understand business questions and turn requirements into dashboard solutions. - Improve dashboard performance, usability, and maintainability, and incorporate user feedback through iterative updates. - Build self-service experiences that help stakeholders explore workforce data and make informed decisions. - Design, implement, test, and maintain row-level security that limits data visibility according to user identity, role, organizational structure, or defined permissions. - Validate access rules across user roles and scenarios, working with analytics and technology or security partners to meet governance and privacy needs.
Requirements
- Significant professional experience developing, deploying, and maintaining complex Tableau dashboards. - Advanced Tableau skills, including calculated fields, parameters, filters, actions, data modeling, performance tuning, and visualization practices. - Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Tableau row-level security, including user-based controls, entitlement mapping, and dynamic filtering. - Understanding of how Tableau permissions, data sources, and row-level security work together. - Ability to query relational data with SQL or comparable tools. - Strong problem-solving, attention to detail with confidential data, and communication skills across technical and non-technical groups. - Ability to manage priorities independently, meet timelines, and document solutions for ongoing maintenance.
