Role overview
A senior engineering role within a large online gaming organisation, contributing to the platforms behind sports betting and casino products used by a global customer base. The position focuses on designing scalable architectures and shipping robust web services across multiple platforms within a fast-paced, growth-oriented engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to translate user requirements into clear technical design documents. - Design scalable software architectures that cover application, hardware and communication layers. - Build high-level system diagrams and develop moderate-to-complex web applications across several platforms. - Design, build, test and maintain applications, websites, data processes and user interfaces. - Strengthen code quality and delivery through CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and engineering best-practice adoption. - Align with project management on technical direction and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with .NET 8+ for Web APIs and Worker Services, plus C# 8 and above. - Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and solid working knowledge of MS SQL Server, Entity Framework Core and Dapper. - Familiarity with message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or Azure Service Bus. - Proficiency with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Releases) and at least one modern frontend framework (Angular, React or Vue). - Experience with distributed or in-memory caching (e.g. Redis) and microservices architectures. - Solid grasp of unit testing practices and frameworks, plus adaptability in fast-moving environments.
Nice to have
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, odds calculation and player behaviour. - Prior experience in online gaming or casino, including familiarity with gambling regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
