Senior Staff Product Manager, Browser Control Platform

Role overview

This position leads the shared layer that lets outside software and other internal teams reliably act inside a major web browser. The work spans strategy and execution in a fast-moving, greenfield area, owning both the technical foundation and the roadmap that decides what to build and in what order. It is a hands-on, technical product role sitting at the intersection of open standards, browser automation, and third-party AI tooling.

Responsibilities

- Own the shared foundation and reusable building blocks that other software calls into, keeping them secure and dependable. - Advance an open browser-automation standard (WebDriver BiDi) while shaping browser-specific capabilities the standard will not cover. - Design user-facing safety controls so people can approve actions, see when software is acting on their behalf, and revoke control at any time. - Set the strategy for integrating with major third-party AI assistants that users already rely on. - Serve multiple internal product teams and external tools through one consistent platform layer. - Define and track success through adoption across teams and tools, volume of usage, and sustained reliability and security.

Requirements

- Background as a product-minded engineer or a deeply technical product manager who can drive a technical product end to end. - Experience working in developer-facing products, with the range to think about consumers and internal platforms. - Comfort setting strategy in ambiguity and owning a technical contract that other teams depend on. - Strong instincts around security, trust, and user safety.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with web standards work, browser automation internals, or related protocols such as MCP.
