About this role
Role overview Serve as the operational backbone of a games division as a Senior Program Manager, acting as the right hand to the General Manager. This senior individual contributor role focuses on running the division's operating rhythm, managing executive meetings, aggregating cross-functional status, and tracking decisions to completion. The position is remote with a preference for candidates aligned with US time zones.
Responsibilities - Own the General Manager's calendar, meeting agendas, and recurring operating cadence including leadership syncs, milestone reviews, and greenlight reviews. - Capture decisions, action items, and owners in every meeting; publish notes promptly and drive items to closure. - Aggregate status, risks, and key metrics from Production, Engineering, Art, Game Direction, Design, Marketing/Publishing, QA, Product, and Player Experience into decision-ready summaries. - Maintain a division-level risk register, OKR tracking, and a running log of open decisions awaiting leadership. - Make real-time judgment calls about what reaches the General Manager, decline or redirect requests on their behalf, and surface emerging issues early.
Requirements - Demonstrated track record of exercising independent judgment on behalf of a senior executive, including redirecting requests without case-by-case approval. - Experience supporting a VP-level or above executive in a fast-moving operating environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill complex multi-source situations into concise executive summaries. - Strong organizational instincts and comfort with ambiguity—able to take a vague ask and return a scoped draft. - Proficient with modern operating tools including Confluence, Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI tools.
Nice to have - Background in video games, interactive entertainment, film or TV production, or other creative-development industries with multidisciplinary teams on long timelines. - Familiarity with game development production processes such as milestones, gates, greenlight reviews, and post-launch live operations. - Experience working with remote, distributed teams across multiple time zones. - Prior experience in or around C-level offices or in a Chief of Staff capacity.
Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $100,000–$130,000 USD annually. - Fully remote position with preference for US time zones. - Eligible benefits for US full-time employees include profit sharing, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, FSA/HSA, paid time off, sick time, holidays, and parental leave.
