About this role
Role overview A fully remote senior design role responsible for shaping user experiences across custom web and mobile applications. The position leads the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through to high-fidelity interfaces, design systems, and accessibility-compliant deliverables that translate business goals into intuitive products.
Responsibilities - Lead the full design lifecycle, including user research, personas, journey mapping, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma. - Build and maintain design systems comprising component libraries, style guides, and design tokens, and establish visual standards across multiple projects. - Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and frontend developers to align on requirements and ensure accurate design implementation. - Run usability testing, incorporate feedback into iterations, and ensure outputs meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility and responsive design standards. - Present design concepts and rationale to clients and internal teams, and produce thorough documentation such as specifications, annotations, and interaction guidelines.
Requirements - At least five years of professional UI/UX design experience covering both web and mobile applications. - Expert-level proficiency in Figma, supported by familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. - A strong portfolio demonstrating a user-centered process, visual design quality, wireframing, user flows, and interactive prototyping. - Hands-on experience creating and maintaining component libraries and design systems. - Solid grasp of responsive and mobile-first design, accessibility standards, and user research methodologies.
Nice to have - Background in branding or visual identity design and experience facilitating design-thinking workshops. - Familiarity with Swiss or broader European design sensibilities and comfort conducting remote user research.
