Senior Mobile Developer (React Native)

Role overview A fully remote senior role focused on building and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native. The work spans the full mobile lifecycle, from architecture and native bridging through to release management and ongoing optimisation, with a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain cross-platform mobile apps with React Native, creating reusable components and shared libraries. - Implement native modules and bridge functionality when framework capabilities are insufficient, integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs with proper error handling and offline support. - Deliver mobile-specific features such as push notifications, deep linking, secure storage, and authentication while optimising memory, battery, and overall performance. - Manage end-to-end app store submission for the App Store and Google Play, including over-the-air updates and code-push workflows. - Write unit and integration tests, collaborate with UI/UX designers on pixel-perfect interfaces, and debug platform-specific issues on iOS and Android.

Requirements - At least five years of mobile development experience, with a minimum of three years working specifically with React Native. - Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, plus deep understanding of React Native architecture, the bridge, and native modules. - Hands-on experience across the React Native ecosystem (React Navigation, Redux or Zustand, React Query) and the standard iOS and Android toolchains (Xcode, Android Studio). - Working knowledge of native iOS (Swift or Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin or Java) for custom module work. - Familiarity with mobile security practices including SSL pinning, Keychain/Keystore usage, push services (FCM, APNs), and deep or universal linking.

Nice to have - Contributions to open-source React Native libraries or community projects. - Published apps in the App Store or Google Play demonstrating production experience.
