Senior Aviation Cyber Certification Engineer

Role overview A senior engineer is needed to establish and own the civil aviation cybersecurity certification capability for an autonomous aviation program. This is a foundational, 0-to-1 role: the engineer will design the processes, procedures, and documentation that carry the organization's civil cyber certification work, partnering closely with the existing military airworthiness security team.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain a Plan for Security Aspects of Certification (PSecAC) and related artifacts where no process previously existed - Apply DO-326A/ED-202A, DO-356A/ED-203A, and ARP4754B requirements to ongoing certification programs - Demonstrate compliance with applicable airworthiness security requirements to FAA, EASA, or Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) - Collaborate with the Information Systems Security team to align civil and military airworthiness security approaches - Define documentation standards and procedures that will anchor a new civil aviation cyber certification function - Operate with minimal supervision while navigating airworthiness security certification on civil aviation programs

Requirements - Hands-on experience navigating airworthiness security certification on a civil aviation program - Working knowledge of DO-326A/ED-202A, ARP4754B, and DO-356A/ED-203A standards - Experience building or contributing to a PSecAC or equivalent certification artifact - Demonstrated ability to show compliance for FAA, EASA, or DER approval - Self-directed, builder's mentality suited to a 0-to-1 environment - Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
