Principal Security Architect

Role overview Serve as a Principal Security Architect for a browser security platform that protects organizations from cyberattacks across the web, documents, and email, including the AI agents working alongside employees. This role blends deep technical review with strategic influence, partnering across engineering, compliance, sales, and customer-facing conversations. The mission centers on enabling humans and agents to work securely without compromise.

Responsibilities - Conduct security design reviews across broad product architecture and incremental changes, including AWS cloud integrations, alongside security code reviews. - Design and document the integration and deployment of enterprise Hardware Security Modules and Key Management. - Assess third-party software and SaaS offerings, including design and implementation reviews of integrations. - Oversee internal and third-party security assessments, including in-depth vulnerability impact analysis. - Track and evaluate the product impact of emerging technologies such as new web standards or browser behavior changes. - Support compliance and sales teams on the technical aspects of regulations and RFPs. - Participate in deep technical customer conversations, assist with patent writing and review, and contribute to external content such as blogs, white papers, and presentations. - Develop novel product features in the security space.

Requirements - Advanced knowledge of applied cryptography, including HSMs, TPMs, and the full Key Management Life Cycle. - Deep knowledge of web and browser technologies such as Same Origin Policy, XSS, CSRF, HTTP security headers, browser architecture, and JavaScript engine internals. - Thorough understanding of network and OS fundamentals, including TCP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, firewalls, WAFs, DAC/MAC, and sandboxing. - AWS security experience with IAM, Organizations, EC2, and VPC. - Familiarity with static and dynamic analysis concepts and tools. - Advanced C/C++ with a secure-coding focus plus at least one other language, ideally Python or JavaScript. - Hands-on willingness to dig in and get things done. - Minimum MSc/MEng or equivalent; PhD preferred.

Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of 158,000 CAD to 263,000 CAD, determined by experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. - Eligibility for stock-based compensation grants tied to company and individual performance.
