Principal Product Manager - Credit

Role overview Set the product strategy for a credit platform’s core services, shaping a multi-quarter roadmap that supports customer needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities - Define and prioritize the roadmap for credit account management and transaction processing. - Write product requirements and technical documentation for backend systems, APIs, and data models. - Partner with engineering leaders on architecture and own the product impact of technical trade-offs. - Coordinate delivery across engineering, go-to-market, operations, legal, compliance, and risk teams. - Engage customers, issuing banks, and payment networks to understand needs and bring market and regulatory insights into product decisions. - Use product analytics to identify gaps, assess feature impact, and refine priorities; mentor peers and influence outcomes across teams.

Requirements - 10+ years of product management experience in fintech or payments, including leadership work with banks and payment networks. - A track record of launching technically complex credit products or platforms at scale in regulated, multi-stakeholder environments. - Experience building or scaling embedded credit or credit-as-a-service products for enterprise customers or card program managers. - Strong technical fluency in APIs, data models, system architecture, and emerging technologies, with the ability to work closely with engineering. - Skill in setting strategy, making risk and priority trade-offs, and influencing executives and cross-functional partners. - Clear communication and judgment in ambiguous situations, including work with legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders.
