Job details
About this role
Role overview A Product Manager is needed on a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) team building software that public safety dispatchers and first responders rely on during critical incidents. The role spans the full product lifecycle, from shaping ambiguous customer problems into new capabilities to stepping into existing products that need focused leadership to reach their potential. It is execution-heavy, highly cross-functional, and suited to a PM who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and refining a backlog.
Responsibilities - Take ambiguous customer or business problems, explore solutions with customers and teammates, and define a clear path from idea to product - Step into in-flight product initiatives, quickly build context, establish priorities, and help the team move forward - Own the roadmap and execution for one or more areas of the CAD platform, balancing near-term customer needs with longer-term opportunities - Partner closely with engineering and design to translate complex operational workflows into intuitive, reliable, and scalable product experiences - Work directly with dispatchers, supervisors, command staff, and technology leaders to understand current workflows and identify high-impact improvements - Evaluate new product opportunities, emerging technologies, and customer needs to prioritize investment - Use product analytics, customer feedback, operational insights, and business context to drive prioritization and measure real-world impact - Collaborate with sales, implementation, customer success, and other go-to-market partners to launch capabilities and feed learnings back into the product - Balance new development with the ongoing work of hardening usability, performance, resiliency, and scalability
Requirements - Four to seven or more years of experience building and shipping software products, ideally in enterprise SaaS or other operationally complex environments - Proven ability to own products or significant product areas end-to-end, from opportunity validation through launch and iteration - Demonstrated skill taking on existing products, building context quickly, and making meaningful progress - Track record of partnering with engineering and design to ship workflow-heavy, intuitive, and reliable experiences - Comfort with complex or consequential problem spaces where the right answer is not always obvious - Pragmatic and adaptable approach, willing to think strategically, dig into workflows, refine backlogs, work through tradeoffs, or handle unglamorous details to ship a great product - Must be authorized to work in an approved hiring region without visa sponsorship
