OneStream Consultant

Role overview This mid-level consulting role supports the development and integration of a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platform used to deliver mission-critical Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) plus financial close and reporting solutions for federal government clients. The position is fully remote and sits between entry-level configuration work and senior platform architecture, owning delivery for key modules and writing custom business logic.

Responsibilities - Design, write, test, and troubleshoot custom Business Rules (Finance, Parser, Connector, Event Rules, and Member Formulas) in VB.NET or C# to implement complex financial calculations and client-specific logic. - Configure and maintain Workflow Profiles, Confirmation Rules, Transformation Rules, and Data Management sequences supporting financial reporting and budgeting processes, including federal budgeting standards where applicable. - Build and customize Cube Views, BI Viewer dashboards, Extensible Documents, and reports to deliver financial insights for executive and operational stakeholders. - Develop and optimize data conversion artifacts, SQL scripts, database views, and staging tables for data migration, extraction, and validation. - Support platform integrations, security model configuration, Single Sign-On (SSO) setup, and documentation needed for governance and compliance packages such as ATO. - Participate across the full SDLC, perform unit testing, root-cause trace analysis, system performance tuning, and escalate risks or blockers to project management.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. - 5+ years of overall experience in software engineering, systems design, database management, cloud environments, or software deployment. - 3+ years of hands-on OneStream development experience, or equivalent CPM/EPM platform development with a track record of successful delivery. - 1+ years of experience with OneStream XF configuration, installation support, or optimization. - Proficiency in object-oriented programming using C# or VB.NET, plus practical SQL experience (SQL Server or Oracle) for data manipulation and querying.

Nice to have - Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems. - Functional understanding of CPM or Federal Financial Management concepts such as consolidations, budgeting/forecasting, reconciliation, or PPBE. - OneStream Certified Specialist (Reports & Dashboards or Financial Close) or OneStream Certified Professional (Core Platform). - Hands-on experience with SSO setup and federal Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance procedures. - Prior experience in professional services or federal IT consulting. - CompTIA Security+ certification.
