Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Join a senior engineering team building cloud-native capabilities for a digital investigations platform used by forensic investigators worldwide. The work centers on evolving a SaaS platform that streamlines evidence acquisition and case management across computers, mobile devices, and IoT-related devices. This is a full-stack role on a fast-moving, customer-focused team where you will shape architecture and partner closely with product and design. Candidates must reside in Canada.

Responsibilities

- Design and deliver full-stack features across the SaaS platform, spanning React/TypeScript interfaces and C#/.NET backend services and APIs - Build and enhance core case management capabilities that support forensic investigators throughout their workflows - Help evolve intuitive, cohesive user experiences through shared navigation, consistent workflows, and unified design patterns - Contribute to cloud-native service design and operations, including deployment, monitoring, scalability, and operational excellence - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code while owning quality, performance, and reliability - Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and continuously improve the user experience - Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural planning, and mentor team members

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong track record of delivering high-quality solutions - Strong full-stack expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern web practices including component-based architecture and state management - Experience developing backend services and APIs using C# and .NET technologies - Sound engineering judgment and a passion for building reliable, maintainable systems - Experience designing and maintaining automated tests across multiple layers of an application - Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams - Familiarity with cloud, Kubernetes, containerization, and modern CI/CD pipelines - Experience leveraging AI technologies in software development, such as natural language search or agentic workflows

Nice to have

- Building and operating cloud-native SaaS applications at scale - Designing distributed systems and service-oriented architectures - Hands-on AWS experience - Exposure to digital forensics, cybersecurity, legal technology, or other enterprise software domains
