Role overview
A Software Engineer position focused on evolving an integrations platform that connects enterprise applications, identity providers, and HR systems across cloud and on-prem environments. The work centers on designing connector frameworks, APIs, and developer-facing tooling that power secure, scalable flows of data and permissions. It is a platform-builder role on a team tackling identity and access management through automation and applied AI.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core components of the Integrations Platform, including APIs, event-driven systems, and connector orchestration layers supporting a wide range of integrations - Build and extend the integration framework with reusable patterns for authentication, job retries, error handling, observability, and onboarding new developers - Deliver high-performance, secure, and maintainable integrations with external systems such as cloud identity providers, HR platforms, and ITSM tools - Improve developer experience by producing SDKs, CLI tools, and documentation that accelerate integration development internally and externally - Drive technical decisions through architecture reviews, mentoring, and pairing on complex problems - Champion resilience, observability, and scalability across every layer of the integrations stack
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable services, APIs, or integrations - Hands-on experience with enterprise integration patterns, including webhooks, event queues, third-party APIs, and hybrid cloud/on-prem environments - Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages such as Python, Go, or TypeScript, plus strong knowledge of API design, system performance, and software architecture - Familiarity with identity and access management concepts such as SCIM, OAuth2, or SAML, and experience integrating with IDPs or HRIS tools - A thoughtful approach to developer experience and clear technical communication - A bias toward action, a high quality bar, and a track record of shipping platform features that scale and are loved by other developers
