LEAD FULL-STACK DEVELOPER (PYTHON AND ANGULAR)

Role overview

Lead hands-on development of a Generative AI and AI Agent product for a major automotive industry client, working across the full stack with Python and Angular. This position blends deep technical work with client-facing consulting: you will set technical direction for a small team, mentor a junior developer, and act as the primary technical counterpart to business and product stakeholders from ideation through delivery.

Responsibilities

- Own technical direction for the product, making architecture and design decisions and communicating them to both technical and non-technical audiences - Serve as the main technical point of contact for the client, translating business needs into practical solutions and recommending approaches over simply executing predefined tickets - Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python on the backend and Angular on the frontend, including integrating client-provided CSS component libraries - Develop RESTful APIs and AI Agent-based services using frameworks such as LangChain, Strands Agents, or MCP-based solutions, integrating LLMs and external services into production - Deploy and operate containerized applications on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Load Balancers), contributing to Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation - Mentor a junior developer through code reviews and day-to-day guidance, and collaborate with product owners and other engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum cadence

Requirements

- Strong professional experience in full-stack software development with solid, hands-on Python skills - Professional Angular experience and a strong grasp of RESTful API design - Practical experience with AI Agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Strands Agents) and familiarity with MCP or similar agent/tool integration approaches - Hands-on experience with Docker and AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, and Load Balancers - Prior track record as a Lead Developer, Tech Lead, or Senior Developer with technical leadership responsibilities - Proven ability to consult with clients and business stakeholders, challenge requirements constructively, and drive topics independently from problem identification to resolution

Nice to have

- Hands-on Generative AI or LLM experience, ideally in production AI products - Familiarity with Nx or NX Smart Repositories - Knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines - Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools, and with Kubernetes - Prior exposure to the automotive sector
