Role overview A fully remote architect position focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions that support IT modernization initiatives. The role blends hands-on platform engineering with technical leadership, working across custom development, integrations, and workflow design to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities - Design scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned to business and IT requirements while following platform best practices - Lead implementations from solution design through phased deployment, prioritizing performance and maintainability - Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications - Build custom applications and extend modules using App Engine, Flow Designer, scripting, and other platform tools - Integrate ServiceNow with external systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange - Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and uphold standards for reliability, scalability, and security - Maintain documentation covering system designs, configurations, integrations, and operational processes - Track platform releases and recommend enhancements that advance modernization goals
Requirements - U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain or hold an active Secret or higher security clearance - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential - 5+ years of experience in a ServiceNow Architect or comparable senior role - Deep hands-on experience with integrations, custom development, and complex troubleshooting - Working knowledge of multiple ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, and Reporting - Strong command of ServiceNow data models, workflows, JavaScript, REST APIs, and standard web technologies - Familiarity with Agile and DevOps delivery practices and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
Nice to have - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent credential - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure - Familiarity with DevOps tooling including Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub
