Role overview A senior quality engineering position sits within an agile feature team driving a technical transformation across a growing corporate group operating in employer benefits and mobility. The work follows Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles, balancing manual testing oversight with hands-on test automation and room to experiment.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end testing activities within an agile feature team, collaborating closely with engineers - Establish and apply best practices for test case creation, automation, documentation, and management - Automate test cases in Kotlin, primarily using the Serenity BDD framework - Contribute to architectural decisions around the test automation setup - Participate in code reviews and broader technical discussions
Requirements - At least five years of software testing experience with a strong focus on test automation - ISTQB knowledge or certification is welcomed - Proficiency in object-oriented test automation using Kotlin or Java, with willingness to learn Kotlin - Hands-on experience in web frontend and REST backend testing; familiarity with Serenity BDD, other Selenium-based frameworks, and Rest Assured - Ability to run independent manual testing, including test management - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code basics - Strong English plus German at B2 level for stakeholder communication
Nice to have - Experience working in a Clean Code or Clean Architecture codebase - Exposure to modern web stacks and AWS environments
