Remote job
Senior Software Engineer II, Mobile - Revenue Experimentation (AI Native)
Job details
About this role
Role overview A remote-first consumer technology company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II for its Revenue Experimentation team, which designs, ships, and analyzes high-velocity growth and monetization experiments across a mobile app used by tens of millions of members. The role is Android-first and AI-native: the team treats AI tooling as a first-class collaborator across ideation, coding, testing, review, and iteration. It is suited to a builder who defaults to shipping, runs many concurrent tests confidently, and helps set the playbook for AI-native mobile development.
Responsibilities - Design and build high-quality Android growth and monetization features and experiments, including subscription paywalls, pricing tests, ad placement and mediation experiments, in-app purchase flows, and upsell or upgrade surfaces. - Run dozens of concurrent tests and partner with product, design, data science, and analytics to translate hypotheses into shippable experiments and turn results into the next decision. - Work with AI coding tools as a primary workflow, orchestrating agents to create specs, generate code and tests, verify results, and perform reviews. - Instrument experiments accurately with proper exposure logging and analytics so downstream results are trustworthy. - Ship polished, performant, and reliable Android experiences to tens of millions of users, with attention to startup time, memory, battery, ANR, and crash-free rates. - Take ambiguous or partially-specced ideas and get a working version in front of real users fast, treating early cuts as learning tools. - Help define and codify AI-native Android engineering practices and contribute playbooks the broader mobile organization can adopt.
Requirements - Significant professional experience building production Android applications, ideally on large-scale consumer or subscription products. - Comfort designing, instrumenting, and learning from A/B tests and growth or monetization experiments. - Proficiency in working with AI coding assistants as part of the daily engineering workflow. - Strong sense of ownership, with a bias to ship and iterate rather than wait for a perfect spec. - Solid grasp of Android performance fundamentals, including startup time, memory, battery, ANR, and crash-free metrics. - Willingness to work fluidly across iOS, web, or backend when an experiment calls for it.
Nice to have - Experience mentoring other engineers or contributing to team-wide engineering practices. - Background in subscription, ads, or other direct-revenue surfaces on mobile.
Benefits and work setup Remote-first within the US or Canada. US salary range of $118,500 to $216,500 USD and Canada range of $171,500 to $201,000 CAD, with the Canadian job title rendered as "Developer."
