About this role
Role overview Lead strategy and commercial growth for a software product that turns space surveillance information into operational intelligence, analytics, alerts, and workflows. You’ll connect customer missions and market needs with product direction, working across engineering and commercial teams to make complex capabilities understandable, useful, and adoptable.
Responsibilities - Set product vision, roadmap, priorities, market positioning, packaging, and execution plans. - Learn customer missions, workflows, operational challenges, and buying needs through direct work with government and commercial users and subject matter experts. - Identify priority customer segments and problems where the product can deliver mission value and support sustainable growth. - Translate customer and business needs into clear requirements and prioritized work; partner with engineering from discovery through release and iteration. - Make investment decisions that balance customer value, differentiation, revenue potential, technical feasibility, and scalability. - Support demonstrations, proposals, pilots, strategic pursuits, and go-to-market work with sales, business development, marketing, and customer success.
Requirements - Experience building and commercializing products for government, aerospace, defense, intelligence, or similarly technical markets. - Direct experience in space domain awareness, space situational awareness, space traffic management, satellite operations, orbital analysis, or related missions. - Experience working with satellite operators, government space organizations, defense organizations, or commercial space customers. - Technical fluency and a record of working closely with engineering, data science, scientific, or aerospace teams. - Ability to shape product requirements and strategy where customer needs are complex, procurement is lengthy, and common needs must be distinguished from one-off requests. - Experience with customer-facing work such as enterprise sales support, demonstrations, proposals, pilots, or evaluations.
Nice to have - Familiarity with orbital mechanics, tracking data, conjunction assessment, maneuver detection, or satellite behavior. - Experience with data-intensive products, APIs, analytics, event detection, visualization, product pricing, packaging, or go-to-market planning. - An active U.S. government security clearance, or willingness and ability to obtain and maintain one. Eligibility for required U.S. space technology export authorizations is also necessary.
Benefits and work setup - The hiring timeline is contingent on final approval and is anticipated to begin as early as January 2027. - Listed benefits include a monthly wellness benefit and internet allowance, a home office setup stipend, professional development funding, and employee recognition and referral programs.
