Job details
About this role
Role overview Build and operate the cloud platform, delivery tooling, and operational practices that help product engineers ship safely and reliably. You will improve infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and security in partnership with engineering and information security, balancing delivery speed with system reliability, complexity, and cost.
Responsibilities - Evolve cloud architecture and Kubernetes environments using infrastructure as code, improving reliability, simplicity, cost visibility, and readiness for multiple regions. - Improve CI/CD feedback cycles, reduce flaky builds, and create self-service tools that address recurring engineering support needs. - Reduce alert noise, establish useful service-level objectives, and make production issues easier to diagnose. - Work with information security on secure delivery, access controls, and safeguards for AI-assisted development workflows. - Participate in incident response during working hours, investigate recurring problems, and help prevent them from returning. - Take ownership of platform initiatives from problem definition through rollout, documentation, and adoption; contribute to technical direction and mentoring.
Requirements - Strong DevOps or SRE experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure and production systems. - Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code; Google Cloud Platform and Terraform are particularly relevant. - Ability to build reliable CI/CD pipelines and improve developer workflows. - Skills diagnosing issues across networking, infrastructure, and application code. - Maintainable coding practices and a practical approach to observability, security, and trade-offs among reliability, complexity, and cost. - Collaborative working style and interest in enabling AI-assisted development safely; prior AI specialization is not required.
Nice to have - Experience with Node.js, MongoDB, or Temporal.
Benefits and work setup - Remote hiring is available in Spain, Germany, Poland, and Romania. - Flexible hours, 25 days of annual leave, and up to 40 days of remote work from outside the home country. - Annual professional development budget, plus salary, benefits, and equity aligned to location and level. - On-call is currently during working hours; the source notes it may evolve into a compensated 24/7 rotation.
