Technical Product Manager: Payments Reporting

About this role
Role overview This product manager will own reporting work for a payments team balancing regulatory obligations, security priorities, and infrastructure changes. The role combines roadmap ownership with hands-on investigation of report schemas and data flows, delivery planning across teams, and clear communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Responsibilities - Set the reporting roadmap by examining schemas and data pipelines and identifying ways to improve or simplify reporting. - Lead scaled Agile planning, including PI planning, epics, estimation, sprint mapping, and confidence checks across concurrent initiatives. - Coordinate dependencies and negotiate blockers across teams and backlogs. - Drive delivery of compliance work such as fee simplification, fee label mapping, and IFPA reporting requirements. - Work with engineers to assess schema changes, regression testing, batch uploads, reconciliations, and security backlog priorities. - Communicate delivery status, risks, and tradeoffs to engineering, legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
Requirements - Direct experience with SAFe or another scaled Agile approach, including PI planning and cross-team dependency management. - Strong Jira skills, especially for structuring epics and tracking dependencies across teams. - Experience leading multiple teams or backlogs in parallel. - Background managing regulatory or compliance-driven roadmaps in a regulated industry. - Exposure to reporting or data pipelines, business intelligence teams, or schema change management. - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent additional specialized training and progressively responsible technology experience.
Nice to have - Experience in payments, card processing, financial settlement, fee billing, or interchange. - Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools.
