Senior Software Engineer - React Native - Consumer

Role overview

Build consumer mobile experiences for financial services, with a particular focus on launching an app for users in Asian markets. You’ll own features from understanding a client problem and shaping a solution through implementation, release, measurement, and iteration. The role combines strong React Native engineering with product judgment and regional expertise in user expectations, design, and technical constraints.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile features using React Native, taking ownership from early problem definition through launch and follow-up improvements. - Partner with product and design colleagues to shape clear, responsive, and trustworthy financial experiences, including discovery and trading journeys. - Work with APIs and changing or real-time data, making thoughtful choices about application state, rendering, performance, architecture, and reliability. - Use metrics, experiments, customer behavior, and feedback to assess whether features are working and guide improvements. - Help adapt and launch a mobile app for Asian markets, advising on regional user experience, connectivity and firewall constraints, and suitable vendors and tools. - Contribute to technical discussions, reviews, and implementation decisions while using AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Requirements

- Strong React Native experience, including shipping substantial production applications and making sound architectural decisions. - A product-building mindset: ability to start from customer needs, refine unclear requirements, and define measurable outcomes. - Experience owning features end to end and using evidence to evaluate and improve them. - Background building responsive, data-rich applications with APIs and dynamic or real-time data. - Strong collaboration and communication skills in written and spoken English. - Experience shipping consumer mobile apps in Asian markets, with a clear understanding of regional design conventions, technical limitations, and launch challenges such as connectivity restrictions.

Nice to have

Experience in financial technology, trading, payments, or investing; streaming data and mobile performance work; both web and mobile development; native iOS or Android development; or proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language.
