Principal Product Manager

Role overview A senior, hands-on product leadership role for a mission-driven nonprofit lending platform, focused on identifying and growing new product opportunities across consumer and institutional audiences. The position combines strategic vision-setting with active involvement in discovery, prototyping, and go-to-market execution, reporting to the Head of Product.

Responsibilities - Define and drive the vision for a significant product area, translating it into a sequenced plan that prioritizes impact and learning speed. - Lead problem discovery and prioritization, ensuring the most important problem is clear before solutions are pursued. - Use market and internal signals to evaluate longer-term bets and new product ideas, making structured decisions under ambiguity. - Set KPIs and success metrics, and lead both qualitative and quantitative customer research. - Align leadership and cross-functional partners around a shared product vision and roadmap. - Partner with engineering to ship high-quality releases and shape go-to-market plans for major launches. - Communicate roadmap, vision, results, and tradeoffs across the organization. - Use AI tools to prototype, validate, and experiment with ideas quickly.

Requirements - 8–10 years of product management experience, ideally in B2C or marketplace products, owning a significant product area. - A track record of shipping successful products from concept through launch and iteration. - A user-centered mindset with strong empathy and instincts for good UX. - Solid business acumen and a habit of using data to inform decisions. - A self-starter who anticipates second- and third-order effects and reframes ambiguous cross-functional problems.

Nice to have - Experience in nonprofit, impact-focused, or philanthropy organizations.
