Senior Solutions Engineer, In-App
Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior solutions engineering role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and revenue for a high-growth advertising technology business. The position owns the technical success of mobile app publishers integrating an in-app SDK, taking partners from signed contract through first impression to scaled rollout. It is a hands-on, publisher-facing role focused on monetization performance rather than ticket-driven support.
Responsibilities - Onboard strategic app publishers end-to-end, moving each integration from contract signature through first live impression to full-scale rollout on target timelines - Own flagship publisher integrations from technical scoping through production launch and post-launch monetization tuning - Diagnose and resolve the technical blockers that limit in-app impression growth, including mediation and bidding misconfiguration, low fill, latency, and rendering failures - Architect placement, format, and bidding strategies that lift eCPM and ARPDAU while sustaining performance as publisher traffic scales - Establish reusable integration patterns, sample apps, and QA checklists that become team-wide standards for clean publisher launches - Partner with sales, account management, product, and engineering to translate publisher needs into shipped technical solutions - Feed recurring integration friction back into the SDK roadmap so systemic problems get fixed at the source
Requirements - Expert-level proficiency in a production language such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with strong command of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns - Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable distributed systems handling high-volume traffic - Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design, plus cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes - Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring and observability tooling, with the ability to debug production systems under pressure - Strong ownership mindset and sound technical judgment, including pragmatic decision-making and strategic management of technical debt - Clear communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and sharing knowledge across the team
Benefits and work setup The disclosed U.S. base salary range is $200,000 to $220,000, with eligibility for variable compensation through a sales incentive plan or discretionary bonus depending on role type.
