Role overview This position focuses on designing and delivering cloud-native services within an Agile delivery team supporting business operations. The engineer will lead the development of a transformative initiative that improves workflow efficiency, partnering closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Responsibilities - Participate in technical design sessions and document proposed architectural solutions. - Build microservices using AWS serverless patterns, including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and DynamoDB. - Act as a consultative technical advisor in conversations with business and product stakeholders. - Strengthen team culture through open collaboration, transparent feedback, and partnership. - Continuously improve system efficiency, flexibility, performance, and availability. - Mentor junior engineers and support legacy code while building next-generation systems.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 4–8 years of hands-on development with modern languages, specifically Node.js and Python. - Experience designing and implementing both REST and event-based services using AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EC2, IAM, and STS. - Background implementing or supporting SaaS and cloud software solutions, including integrations with internal systems. - Familiarity with non-relational databases and multiple relational platforms (RDS). - Demonstrated success working in Agile environments and developing/deploying APIs.
Nice to have - Experience in lending or financial services. - AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certification. - Exposure to SCRUM, SAFe, and Test-Driven Development practices.
