Senior Software Engineer (Python) - Remote

Role overview Develop AI-enabled features for a multi-tenant SaaS product while helping shape an engineering process that uses coding agents under strong human oversight. The work spans LLM-powered workflows, retrieval over specialized content, and agent integrations, with an emphasis on secure design, software quality, and measuring AI performance.

Responsibilities - Break product goals into clear, modular specifications and acceptance criteria for engineers and coding agents. - Build and refine CI/CD workflows that use agents for code generation, testing, and review, with quality checks and human approval points. - Improve prompts, repository context, documentation, and agent tools; track and improve the quality of agent output. - Review human- and AI-generated code for security, scalability, architectural fit, and domain needs. - Build and maintain LLM features such as retrieval workflows and agents that can take actions in the product. - Participate in on-call support, investigate production issues, and help teammates with design, reviews, and responsible agent use.

Requirements - At least 5 years of software engineering experience delivering SaaS applications, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. - Strong hands-on experience with Python, React, and AWS services such as Lambda and DynamoDB. - Practical knowledge of LLM application patterns, including prompt design, embeddings, vector search and retrieval, tool calling, structured outputs, and agent orchestration. - Experience using AI coding agents as a core part of development and integrating them into CI/CD with automated quality gates. - Ability to design tests and evaluations for non-deterministic systems and judge when AI is appropriate. - Strong foundations in system design, API security, automated testing, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture. - Clear written communication for specifications and technical documentation.

Nice to have Experience with managed model services or agent frameworks; shipping and supporting an AI feature in production; building MCP servers or agent tool integrations; regulated domains and privacy standards; AI governance practices; or specification-driven development.
