About this role
Role overview Apply systems engineering methods to develop and integrate complex energy systems. You will turn program objectives, stakeholder needs, and design inputs into traceable requirements, architectures, interfaces, and verification plans, coordinating across engineering disciplines and other project functions throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities - Develop, allocate, maintain, and trace technical requirements across levels of a system and plant architecture. - Translate stakeholder needs, design inputs, and regulatory considerations into clear, testable requirements. - Perform functional analysis and decomposition, connecting system functions with requirements, architecture, and verification activities. - Develop and maintain functional, logical, and physical architectures, and define interfaces among systems, organizations, suppliers, and external partners. - Create verification strategies, plans, acceptance criteria, and evidence; coordinate cross-disciplinary requirements, architecture, interface, integration, and verification reviews. - Assess system-level impacts of proposed changes, support technical risk and issue management, mentor less-experienced engineers, and improve engineering processes and tools.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in systems, mechanical, nuclear, electrical, aerospace, or a related engineering field. - Professional experience applying systems engineering methods to complex products or programs. - Experience developing and tracing technical requirements. - Experience in at least one area such as functional analysis, system architecture, interface management, integration, requirements verification and validation, or technical change-impact assessment. - Experience coordinating technical reviews or leading focused cross-functional engineering work. - Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have Experience in nuclear, power generation, aerospace, defense, energy, or another regulated industry; requirements tools such as Jama Connect; model-based systems engineering; nuclear safety, licensing, or quality practices; or design reviews, trade studies, and configuration management.
