Associate Director, Product

Role overview

This position leads the continued development of a flagship revenue and risk-adjustment product that combines a coding service with a custom-built analytics application. The role owns the product line end-to-end, partnering with engineering on releases, leading discovery with clients, and shaping roadmap decisions that balance user value with business outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Drive product discovery and delivery, including client discovery sessions, writing PRDs for complex features, and recommending build-versus-buy assessments.

- Use AI-assisted tooling to investigate the codebase and resolve technical functionality questions independently.

- Lead company-wide updates on the product line and handle client escalations with limited oversight.

- Guide cross-functional stakeholders through application changes and rollouts, and own end-to-end launch execution.

- Plan monthly roadmaps and develop pod-level quarterly roadmaps, recommending product-level quarterly plans for manager review.

- Set clear expectations for direct reports, provide regular feedback, and partner with management on growth and career development.

Requirements

- 6-8 years of product management experience, including at least one year managing and developing a team.

- Familiarity with Hierarchical Condition Category coding methodologies and RAF score calculations in the Medicare Advantage space.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills, with comfort handling escalations.

- Ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and balance product decisions against broader business outcomes.

- Solid understanding of the software product development lifecycle and experience running scrum processes.

- Comfort with SQL and JIRA, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Nice to have

- Experience developing data-heavy front-end analytics applications. - Background building healthcare revenue, RAF analytics, or revenue cycle management products. - Familiarity with X12 837/834 EDI standards. - Prior startup experience.

Benefits and work setup

- Base salary range of $170,000-$180,000, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and organizational needs. - Fully remote role based in the United States. - This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
