About this role
Role overview A newly formed Command Centre is hiring an operations specialist to deliver 24×7 monitoring, incident response, and hands-on support for a global multi-cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and on-premises systems. This is an execution-focused role that partners with DevOps teams worldwide, follows ITIL-aligned processes, and runs on rotational shifts. The first three to six months require on-site presence in Hyderabad for onboarding, with a transition to remote work afterward.
Responsibilities - Monitor alerts, triage incoming incidents, and document each event in the ticketing platform using ITIL classification and prioritization standards. - Troubleshoot issues across cloud infrastructure components such as compute, networking, load balancers, identity services, and databases. - Execute operational runbooks and follow established procedures to restore service and document resolution steps. - Escalate complex or high-impact incidents to senior engineering teams while maintaining clear ownership and communication. - Track recurring issues, contribute to root-cause analysis, and support continuous improvement of monitoring and response practices. - Maintain situational awareness across global infrastructure, ensuring shift handovers preserve context and continuity.
Requirements - Hands-on experience supporting production infrastructure in a NOC, command centre, or similar operations environment. - Working knowledge of AWS services (such as EC2, VPC, VPN) and core networking concepts including DNS, firewalls, and routing. - Familiarity with identity and access management tools, directory services, and single sign-on platforms. - Comfort working in 24×7 rotational shifts and responding to incidents on short notice. - Ability to follow structured processes while exercising sound judgment during high-pressure situations. - Strong written communication skills for incident documentation and cross-region coordination.
Nice to have - Experience with Jira Service Management or comparable ITSM tooling. - Exposure to Azure alongside AWS, plus on-premises infrastructure operations. - ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service-management training. - Background supporting DevOps or SRE teams in a global organization.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time, permanent position based in Hyderabad, with on-site presence for the first three to six months followed by remote work. - 24×7 rotational shift schedule supporting global coverage. - Competitive compensation, benefits package, and professional development opportunities. - Opportunity to help build a new command centre function from the ground up.
