Role overview
A senior platform engineering role focused on building and operating a multi-account AWS foundation that powers hundreds of containerized workloads. The position centers on Terraform-driven infrastructure, internal developer platforms, and golden-path patterns that let product engineering teams ship safely and quickly at scale.
Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve the core platform layer, including identity, networking, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling used by distributed teams - Develop and curate Terraform modules, baseline configurations, state-management patterns, and platform guardrails that distributed engineering teams rely on - Design and maintain a multi-account AWS landing zone through Organizations, Service Control Policies, and permissions boundaries, securing cross-account access - Run and scale production ECS and EKS clusters supporting 100+ workloads, including autoscaling, resilience, and networking best practices - Create self-service tooling, golden paths, and template-driven workflows that abstract infrastructure complexity from application teams - Document standards, run workshops, and provide architectural guidance so engineering teams adopt platform capabilities effectively
Requirements
- Senior hands-on background in platform, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or cloud engineering roles - Deep production familiarity with multi-account AWS, including AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, landing zones, and cross-account governance - Advanced working knowledge of AWS IAM concepts such as roles, policies, permissions boundaries, identity federation, and Identity Center - Significant Terraform experience at scale, including modules, remote state, and reusable configuration patterns - Production experience designing and operating EKS or ECS environments that exceed 100 services - Strong CI/CD background with GitHub Actions and OIDC, plus Git-based source control and one scripting or programming language such as TypeScript, Python, Bash, Java, or Kotlin
