Associate Software Engineer

Role overview This Associate Software Engineer internship sits inside an engineering team building reporting, analytics, and performance management software used by finance and data teams. The role is hands-on, combining software development with quality engineering practices, and is intended for early-career engineers who want to grow across both building and testing modern software. The position is based in Hyderabad or Bangalore.

Responsibilities - Contribute to the design and development of features across a portfolio of financial planning, controllership, and data analytics products - Apply object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) principles and recognized design patterns when writing code - Write integration tests and unit tests to validate feature reliability, security, and performance - Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews - Debug, refactor, and resolve defects, code smells, and performance bottlenecks in existing codebases - Stay current with new technologies, cloud platforms, and trends, proposing improvements where useful - Work alongside an AI-first engineering culture that expects AI to be part of the build process

Requirements - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field - Coursework or demonstrated knowledge of data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and databases - Solid programming skills in at least one modern language - Strong verbal and written English communication skills - Internships, project work, or additional training in software development or testing - Eagerness to learn and work across both software development and software testing in development (SDET) responsibilities

Nice to have - Familiarity with Agile methodology and how testing fits into iterative delivery - Exposure to cloud platforms and modern deployment environments
