Commercial Data Analyst

Role overview A US-based manufacturer of complex electrical distribution systems is hiring a Commercial Data Analyst to support one of its top customers through data-driven insights. The role focuses on analyzing customer behavior, marketplace dynamics, and operational performance to inform strategic decisions and optimize key business initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Field Service Business Systems and Reporting, this is a US-remote position with a posted salary range of $95,000 to $120,000.

Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and enhance analytics frameworks that monitor customer retention, market share, revenue growth, and market expansion initiatives - Provide analytics and insights into customer forecasts and their impact on operational performance and business prioritization - Analyze quote-to-order conversion and identify drivers of pipeline performance - Build analytics around key operational metrics that influence customer satisfaction - Leverage AI tools and modern analytics workflows to improve efficiency, insight generation, and day-to-day decision support - Collaborate with Data Science, Infrastructure, and other Analytics teams using tools such as Tableau and Snowflake to deliver timely performance insights - Communicate clear, actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization

Requirements - 6+ years of relevant analytical experience working with large datasets and delivering insights - Bachelor's or master's degree in Analytics or a related field preferred - Experience in a commercial or business analytics domain preferred - Hands-on experience incorporating AI tools such as generative AI, automation, or advanced analytics workflows into day-to-day work - Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven insights and clear communication - Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills - Experience mentoring and developing analysts in a team environment - Experience with visualization platforms such as Tableau
