Role overview Support the network optimization strategy for a state Medicaid market by turning complex healthcare data into reliable reporting and analytical insights. The role sits within an analytics function that partners closely with business stakeholders to improve data processes, accuracy, and decision-making.
Responsibilities - Generate ad hoc reports, recurring datasets, and reporting solutions tailored to business partner needs - Integrate data from multiple sources to deliver accurate and applicable insights - Extract, analyze, and interpret data from reporting tools and data warehouses - Develop report specifications based on stakeholder requirements - Maintain team documentation, including reporting processes and data flows - Schedule and monitor automated data processing jobs, troubleshooting issues as they arise - Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting and data management processes - Investigate, document, and resolve data quality and reporting issues through root cause analysis - Recommend and implement effective approaches for reporting and data-related projects
Requirements - Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of technical experience in data reporting, or 5+ years of technical experience in data reporting in lieu of a degree - 3 years of data analysis experience within a healthcare organization - 3 years of advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, and other data systems - 3 years of advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including linking pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables, and summarizing data into reports and dashboards - 3 years of advanced Microsoft Power BI skills, including linking to external data sources, pass-through queries, data structure, and relationship design - 1 year of experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik - Availability to work 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time
Nice to have - Residence within the state of Illinois - Experience with data reporting for Medicaid and Medicare products - Background in system analytics and/or data warehousing environments - Experience with Microsoft Access
