Remote job
Software Engineer, Integrations Delivery & Support
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A remote cybersecurity company is hiring a Software Engineer to join its Integrations Delivery & Support team, which builds and maintains first-party connectors between an autonomous penetration testing platform and the security tools that customers already operate. The role covers the full lifecycle of each integration — design, delivery, customer enablement, and ongoing support — and the engineer partners with a senior engineer while reporting to the IDS Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship integration connectors that push assessment findings into EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM platforms running in customer environments - Design schemas and data mappings that translate internal finding structures into each target platform's native format - Maintain and evolve current connectors when third-party APIs shift, when customer feedback exposes gaps, and when new platforms are prioritized - Write documentation and configuration guides detailed enough for customers to set up integrations without contacting support - Diagnose and resolve integration failures reported by customers or caught through monitoring - Work with the platform team to ensure new connectors are built on shared infrastructure rather than as one-off scripts
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least one year building production integrations or connectors against third-party APIs - Hands-on experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs and handling real-world complications such as token refresh, pagination, rate limiting, partial failure, and schema drift - Ability to read external API documentation and turn it into a reliable, tested connector - Proficiency in Go or Python - Comfort working in containerized and cloud-native environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS - Understanding of webhook and event-driven integration patterns
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne, Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar security and ITSM tools - Familiarity with the cybersecurity ecosystem — EDR, SIEM, and SOAR concepts and how security teams use them day to day - Experience designing integration data models or field-mapping schemas - Background in customer-facing or product-adjacent engineering roles where reliability directly affected user experience
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote company; some roles support a hybrid model with access to a Chicago office - Full-time positions are eligible for an equity package in the form of stock options - Health, vision, and dental insurance coverage for the employee and their family - Flexible vacation policy and generous parental leave - Inclusive culture with a stated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
