Role overview Lead a team of site reliability and DevOps practitioners responsible for the delivery and ongoing improvement of cloud infrastructure. The work combines hands-on engineering with people leadership, project coordination, and partnership with product development teams to keep systems reliable, secure, scalable, and performant.

Responsibilities - Build and improve Linux cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code, and help diagnose and repair distributed systems. - Provide development teams with usable infrastructure interfaces, tools, and practices across the software lifecycle. - Establish runbooks, monitoring, and alerts to support reliability, security, and operational integrity. - Guide team delivery through mentoring, project coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and Agile practices. - Improve team processes and share technical practices; take part in a flexible on-call rotation.

Requirements - Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent relevant background, and at least five years in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering. - Record of substantial contributions to software projects with significant business impact. - Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible to build and operate cloud infrastructure. - Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure design and operations. - Ability to lead, communicate clearly, handle change, and develop an inclusive team while solving complex technical problems.

Benefits and work setup - Based in Canada, limited to provinces where the employer can legally hire; flexible on-call rotation. - Listed salary range: CAD $115,000–$160,000.
