About this role

Role overview Make partner-facing platform releases predictable, clearly communicated, and operationally reliable. This role combines release planning, technical coordination, incident leadership, and hands-on development of tools and documentation that help external partners adopt platform changes safely.

Responsibilities - Coordinate release schedules for APIs, events, device capabilities, integrations, and other partner platform changes. - Align engineering, QA, security, operations, product, and partner teams on readiness, dependencies, and rollout decisions. - Establish practical change processes for versioning, compatibility, deprecation, sandbox validation, and production releases. - Prepare release notes, migration guides, checklists, and partner communications; coordinate pre-release testing. - Lead coordination during partner-impacting incidents and release blockers, communicating actions, mitigations, and timelines. - Build tools, dashboards, documentation workflows, and AI-assisted processes; measure their effectiveness and improve them using operational data and partner feedback.

Requirements - Five or more years in software engineering, release management, platform operations, technical program management, or a related field. - Experience coordinating software or API releases across multiple teams and external customers, partners, or developers. - Strong understanding of software lifecycles, release controls, incident response, versioning, and backward compatibility. - Ability to translate technical changes into clear guidance for technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong operational judgment, partner advocacy, and calm escalation leadership.

Nice to have - Experience with firmware, mobile, streaming, or event-driven platform releases; internal tool development; or workflow automation. - Practical use of AI tools for documentation, triage, operational analysis, or automation. - Familiarity with OpenAPI, REST, event notifications, queues, or ITIL, project management, or Scrum credentials.

Benefits and work setup The role works across UK and US time zones, with preference for someone in the Eastern Time Zone. The listing gives a target base pay range of USD $125,000–$175,000 per year and notes that total compensation may include additional elements.
