Join the executive team to help set engineering and product direction as AI changes how software is built and operated. You’ll translate that strategy into clear priorities, align leaders around shared decisions, and guide an established engineering organization through rapid change while sustaining its strengths.

Responsibilities

- Develop and communicate a point of view on the product, technology, and market, and help refine current priorities or identify new opportunities. - Partner closely with the CEO, product leadership, and the wider executive team to build commitment to a shared direction. - Explain engineering strategy and organizational changes clearly across a distributed company, using written communication and presentations. - Focus engineering talent on the organization’s most important opportunities, adjusting structure, goals, and working practices as needed. - Lead with technical credibility and help the organization respond thoughtfully to changes in AI and developer tools.

Requirements

- Experience leading engineering organizations through major changes in direction as well as periods of growth. - Recent hands-on experience shipping software with AI tools. - Strong executive collaboration skills, with a record of improving how senior teams work together. - Ability to shape strategy and lead its execution amid uncertainty and fast-changing conditions. - Experience leading distributed teams and communicating effectively in writing and in person. - Background in a larger organization and the judgment to understand scaling challenges, paired with comfort taking startup-level risks.
