About this role
Role overview A senior engineering position focused on building production-grade AI agents that operate on customer data to answer analytics and marketing questions. The work spans rapid prototyping of LLM-powered proofs of concept and architecting durable pipelines that ship to real users. It is a product-minded technical role that blends creative LLM application design with strong backend fundamentals.
Responsibilities - Prototype AI integrations for data and marketing workflows, exploring the upper bound of what large language models can do in this space. - Choose and defend the AI architecture, frameworks, and orchestration patterns used in production systems. - Build data-aware agents that use a company's underlying data to answer analytics and data science questions about users and marketing performance. - Study user workflows in depth and translate those workflows into seamless AI-assisted experiences. - Move fluidly from early-stage POCs to hardened, observable production pipelines.
Requirements - Strong backend engineering skills with the ability to design and ship production systems end to end. - Sharp product sense and a creative approach to applying LLMs to real customer problems. - Comfort architecting systems, not just implementing tickets; ability to make and justify technical decisions. - Intellectual curiosity and motivation to work at the frontier of applied AI. - Prior LLM experience is not required, but a willingness to ramp quickly is essential.
Nice to have - Hands-on experience building agentic systems, retrieval pipelines, or LLM-backed features in production.
Benefits and work setup - Location-independent remote-first policy. - Salary range of $180,000 to $400,000 USD per year, plus meaningful equity. - Interview process focused on product sense, LLM creativity, backend architecture, and values fit; no live coding interviews. - Structured interview stages including a recruiter screen, system design, hiring manager conversation, and an agent-building systems discussion.
